Pull an Angelina

Only an uber toned limb belonging to that of one Angelina Jolie could cause such a stir amongst internet users! La belle Jolie stunned last Sunday night in a split to the thigh Atelier Versace gown that allowed the former blood-drinker-turned-humanitarian to show off her second best asset (there's no beating those lips!) Fancy emulating her pose? Check out our own Atelier Versace Gown with split thigh detail. Boasting a bias cut  and washed silk, it's time to get out those gams!

You Sound Like You're From London

London Fashion Week is upon us and I have been indulging in a marathon session of viewing the shows! These are a few shots that I believe warrant your immediate attention! A review of New York is on its way, je promets!

First up, Burberry Prorsum. Christopher Bailey you absolutely kill me. Those bow belts? Too sweet for words. I think I have diabetes. In a good way.

Christopher Kane. Edgy as ever. Aghast at that ripple effect pattern on the shift dress below.

Dear Mulberry, are you kidding us? Why would you ever have thought Chewbacca would be a good look for anyone? Sincerely, Vagabond.
p.s. Kudos on the use of Tangerine though. It's the color of the year, don't ya know?
p.p.s. The Del Rey bag? What's with your obsession with 'It' girls? Somewhat of a step up from Ms. Chung though, at least.

Irish girls REPRESENT! Another stellar turnout from Ms. Simone Rocha. She embraces the peplum trend and nails it whilst re-hashing her now cult favorite brogue. Keep it coming girl!

New York Fashion Week Thus Far

New York Fashion Week has arrived with a bang and we are as excited as Madonna on Botox day! Only you can't tell with her... Meow. Fetch us a saucer of milk! We have trawled through the snaps of what has been shown so far and the following looks are what caught our aesthetically attuned peepers:

10 Crosby Derek Lam

Reminds us a lot of that Chanel star jumpsuit Ms. Moss wore for her birthday a few years back!

10 Crosby Derek Lam

A dressed down version of the Dior bar jacket - what's not to love?

10 Crosby Derek Lam

Chadwick Bell

Relative newbie on the New York scene. We love the turquoise accents on the shoes!

Chadwick Bell

What, not enough fur to finish off the coat?

Chadwick Bell

So. Fabulously. Eighties. Check out those cheekbones for definition Joan Collins would be proud of!

Jenni Kayne

It's all about the hat with this one.

Jenni Kayne

Stunning color combination. The emerald really offsets the heather grey.

Jenni Kayne

Perfect colors for fall with all the life of spring. Oriental. Beautiful flow.

Jenni Kayne

Really unusual color combo but it's working right here.

Jil Sander Navy

That. Bag.

Jil Sander Navy

Chic. Girly. Minimalist.

Jil Sander Navy.

Can't decide between an Oxford or a Creeper? Go for both!

Nicholas K

We'd be speechless too if we were wearing that sweater, honey!

Nicholas K

Someone clearly liked Michael Kors' Pre-Fall Collection!

Nicholas K

And a fan of Galliano too, perhaps?

Rachel Comey

Steven Alan

We approve of all of this! Beenie, coat, pants, shoes, GLOVES!

I Hope I'm Like These Ladies When I'm Older...

Photo: Idiosyncratic Fashionistas

I had the pleasure of meeting two of these fabulous ladies at the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show last weekend. They are the Idiosyncratic Fashionistas and are, without a doubt, some of the coolest people I have met since I moved here last August. They display a blatant adoration for fashion and have the confidence to pull off their outfits with their devil-may-care attitude!

The show opened last Friday to industry insiders only. It was great to see the gems other vendors had on display and to converse with them about a shared passion. A few famous faces were spotted amongst the rails and rails of vintage finds. Among them, Cameron Silver who we had the pleasure of being interviewed by! He was rather dapper in the most striking cobalt blue suit.

Saturday's show was then open to the public and proved to be quite busier. A lot of stylish ladies and gents checked out our stall, with our Mugler and Versace pieces proving to be quite a hit amongst attendees!

We had a peek around the stalls ourselves and had to say that we were most enthralled by the pieces on display from Marmalade. I found a fabulous Judith Lieber owl clutch at another stall but unfortunately missed my chance of snapping it up!
