Most Wanted: One's a Charm at Celine and Louis Vuitton

Leave it to two of the coolest designers on the scene, Phoebe Philo at Celine and Nicolas Ghesquiere at Louis Vuitton, to channel retro styling with a single statement making earring.

At Celine, the look was handcrafted with found objects that while covetable, look like they could be good fun reproducing on your own. And at Vuitton, Ghesquiere turned a logo moment into something abstract, modernist and vaguely ethnic. Truly too cool.

Micro-Trend S/S 2011: The Bold Red Blouse

Sharply tailored & unadorned, the simple red top, one of S/S 2011's boldest micro-trends, isn't only for the brave. You can trace it back to Ricardo Tisci's earlier days at Givenchy with his penchant for monochrome suiting in reds & pinks and all the way down to the editors being snapped up by fashion photogs outside of shows in the vivid hue, the color makes sense for right now. And while it suggests a brazen self confidence, a simple red top also adds an essential restrained burst of pop to any look. Here's a look at three favorites from our vintage range.

Fringe Benefits: D & G, Yohji & Mugler

Get into the swing of things in a festive haute-fringed number, one of this season's most playful micro-trends.

Take note of this Thierry Mugler patent fringed western vest's clean lines, here that restraint plays beautifully against the overall over-the-top sex appeal brought on by the pieces sculpted bust.

Channel Christopher Kane Fall 2010 in Vnyc

We've said it before & we'll say it again: Christopher Kane's Fall 2010 outing happens to be one of our favorites, so we just had to mention our own vintage embroidered leather dress & top that smartly channel his inventive take on next seasons must-have fabrication: leather.

Channel Christopher Kane's beautifully perverse take on classic embroideries for Fall 2010 with Vnyc's 80's era embroidered leather taupe tube & black dress. While the tube's color-way happens to be much more subdued(read wearable), both pieces unique juxtaposition of leather and delicate florals combined with a lady-like shape hit all of Kane's notes dead-on.

Trends: Culotte a Little?

Our 80's Claude Montana leather gauchos happen to hit upon several of Fall 2010's biggest statements thanks to their sleek leather fabrication, over-all clean look and culotte shape. Yes, culottes did make a splash on runways as varied as Chloe & Marc Jacobs as a nice alternative to the Bermuda shorts and wide-leg pants seen elsewhere.

Micro Trend: Variations on the Scarf Print

80's GIANNI VERSACE Scarf Print Blouse-$328

PUCCI Graphic Scarf Print Chain Handle Minuaderie-$188

Playing with the notion of the leisurely times that are the basis of Resort, Prada's Resort 2010 collection was a far cry from this fall's austerity with it's fresh take on the iconic scarf print, a resort stand-by. While at Pucci, a house known for it's scarf prints, Peter Dundas sent out a brigade of some of the sexiest variations on the house's printed legacy. Which brings us to our point, incorporating the whimsical appeal of scarf prints into the everyday wardrobe.

Take this 80's era Gianni Versace scarf printed blouse for instance, its soothing blue colorway and bold ultra-femme print will look just as good on the beach paired with some short shorts as it would at the office under a smart blazer with some relaxed pants. And if prints of such bold nature aren't your thing, think about how easily our Pucci silk printed minauderie can liven up even the strictest of looks with just a splash of opulence.
