Ladies, we just had to point out Vogue.com's October Scoop by Hamish Bowles that high-lighted the next big trend in collecting vintage, collecting 80's/90's era pieces from provocative designers who pushed fashion forward like ALAIA, ANN DEMUELEMEESTER, RICK OWENS, YOHJI YAMAMOTO, COMME DES GARCONS, ROMEO GIGLI, MUGLER, MONTANA, PRADA and most importantly, GIANNI VERSACE. All of whom we have been highlighting in our own collection since we started two years ago! To that list we would also like to add our favorites HELMUT LANG, SONIA RYKIEL, NORMA KAMALI and JEAN PAUL-GAULTIER. And there is definitely much more to come in the future.It was also mentioned that collecting these labels is more cost-effective compared to vintage heavy-hitters like Ossie Clark or Norman Norell. We look forward to this new appreciation of more contemporary pieces since they are frankly much wittier, more cutting-edge, and relevant for today, especially since we have always shyed away from that cliche, too-precious retro-look that many vintage outlets seem to be so fond of.
